Dave,
My wife and I attached one of those fake tickets to some friends of ours Christmas present a few years ago. They came over one evening for dinner and we exchanged presents. Larry is a preacher and had never before purchased a lottery ticket. He scratched it off, showed it to his wife Anne, and they both hugged and danced around. He told her, "Now we can take that trip to Ireland that you've always wanted to take". Then of course, Carol and I had to confess that it was a joke ticket and that they hadn't really won anything. It was horrible. Maybe it is just me, but I don't think they have ever acted the same around us since. We learned that we will NEVER do that joke to anyone again.
