Geno, you said...........
"I guess I will dispute that statement. Benny was known for taking any bet that came along. $50,000 in $500 chips is nothing when you are taking big bets from several people at one time on crap and BJ tables. My guess is 20 or more racks were made.
Did you get the mag I sent?
You can go back to sleep now. "
Geno,
Any sizable bet Binion took was ALWAYS in cash. The $500.00 chips were used primarilly on the blackjack table for semi high rollers. Remember we are discussing a time period when there was no currency transaction reports and a $100.00 bet was considered large. I know Binion did not like to lose control over high denomination chips. There were PLENTY of $100.00 chips and easily covered 99.9% of Horseshoe action.
If you recall the million dollar roulette bet. Benny matched the customers cash with a suitcase of cash. he called Bill Boyd, Jackie G. and many others to so he could come up with the cash.
No I have not received the mag as yet. Thank you for mailing it.
I have been up since 3:00a.m. why would I want to go back to bed?
