I bought one from him but I thought his ad made clear that they were repros. So I knew what I was getting. However, I now have second thoughts--like the fake or counterfeit casino chips, the big danger is that whoever gets my chips when I go may think that the Georgia chip is real - even though I have it listed as a fake and have a little paste on the chip that says so. That person whoever it is can remove the pastie and sell it off as new.
I proposed a couple of years ago that those of us who have counterfeit chips should put together a display for the Club show but thus far have found no takers. I have a half dozen fake chips--all but one of which I knew were fakes when I bought them.
Here is a scan of a really neat set of fakes.
