Just got done talking with a friend and we were discussing the rise in car rental fees in LV. He has switched to a company called www.hotwire.com
I checked it out for giggles and grins, and found to rent a mid-size (Grand Am, Ford Contour, Hyundai Sonata, etc) from June 26 - July 2, the cost was $17.95 per day.....with taxes and fees the total for 7 days was $169.96 ($62.26 for tax and fees).
I don't know if this is a really good deal, but my friend now says it's greatest and has used it twice. He will soon be using them a 3rd time.
I guess you pay in advance, it's not refundable but your car will come from Avis, Hertz, etc (a big rental co....no "rent-a-wrecks")
