Hi Miggy, Welcome to the board and a great hobby. I don't think I would tie up to much money in Stardust or Boardwalk chips. Most dealers in the hobby knew the casinos destiny quite some time ago and have pretty substantial inventories. I've been in the gambling business longer than I care to admit and when I started opening riverboats in the midwest I used to buy a bunch of chips from every place I went. The people who really wanted them got them and I always ended up cashing several in. I found I was better off putting my money in chips for my collection instead of traders. If you like the hobby, take your time collecting and try to pick something you really like and specialize in collecting that item.
