As I said in my earlier post, I just stumbled onto this site tonight but after reading several threads I can tell this is a good group of people.

I have begun collecting more than just chips, especially from the "doomed" casinos such as Stardust.

Incidently, the other night I was at Stardust and you probably know they put out a new house chip this year in addition to the coined one they've been using since 1985.

I can only afford to get $1 and $5 chips and was going to buy $10 of the $1 chips (the older ones).

The casino person told me they are now limiting the older chips to two per person since they are starting to "run out".

Most of you probably have these chips already but I eat in their coffee shop about once a week and will make a point of trying to get the $1's and $5's each time I go there in case any of you want them.

My main question, though is this. I'm getting ready to go to Monte Carlo in a few minutes because I haven't been there yet to collect chips and the Boardwalk, which closed in January, is right next to it.

You may know they had a 2 alarm fire last week which is pretty suspicious to me (having just been purchased by MGM).

I never visited there but I feel these chips will become more valuable, especially after this "accidental" fire.

I know there's a 120 day limit to cash in any chips, keno, etc. but do you guys know where that place is and can you purchase them there or just redeem them? Would MGM perhaps have some of the chips in their cage since they're the official owner of the property?

I will visit there when I'm at Monte Carlo tonight and try to take pictures of whatever's left of the Boardwalk. If you guys let me know where you think the best place is to purchase these chips I will try and get some to share with those of you who are interested.

I am new at this and you don't know me but I promise I'm not some kind of Hooter's Hound (grrrrrrrrrr.) I just try to help out others because I believe in Karma and to be perfectly honest I don't want to be re-incarnated as a tacky Wynn chip.
