Early this week my husband and I bought some realllllly unusual dice, at an antique shop in Las Vegas.

The dice are red, 11/16", with bulls-eye spots. Around the 1 spot it says "Town House Elko".

What's unusual is the arrangement and number of spots on the dice. Normal dice have the six side opposite of the one, the five is opposite of the two, the four is opposite of the three. So, the opposite sides always add up to seven, and there are a total of 21 spots. That's normal.

What we found is a set of six dice. Opposite of the one side is another one side, opposite of the two side is another two side, opposite of the three side is another three side, etc.

AND, each die is different from the others...

One has 1, 2 and 3 sides.
One has 1, 3 and 5 sides.
One has 1, 4 and 5 sides.
One has 2, 3 and 6 sides.
One has 2, 4 and 6 sides.
One has 4, 5 and 6 sides.

I don't think they're errors...I wonder if they were for some special game, but what? I googled, but couldn't come up with anything. Help??
