Recently received one of those automatic updates that gets sent out from time to time.

After which, MS Word will no long let me open up an existing file from within word using the File - Open option. Additionally, it will not let me create a new document using the Save as option.

I can still open an existing document using the 'My Computer Option'.

I am running MS XP operating system and I am running Word 2002 edition.

Attempts to get support from MS results in them wanting you to contribute to Bill Gates bottom line and since he has far more than I, hopefully one of you nice people can lend me some assitance.
