When I left one auto job I was offered Cobra replacement insurance for my health insurance. The cost for the insurance was $550 per month. We had really good insurance - full health, dental, vision coverage. If you have priced insurance lately you know that it is very expensive. Oh by the way - I left that job in 1987. I hate to think what that insurance would cost today.
