Don't you just hate it when you have an item you're watching on ebay, and when you check on it, the seller has raised the starting bid price?? For me...It just ticks me off. Even though I would probably have bid over that amount, it just irritates me. In fact, it irritates me to the point, where I remove it from my watch list and refuse to bid on it at all.

My most recent experience with this was for a Black Jack felt, where I tagged the auction with a "watch this item", since I didn't have time to deal with it at that moment. Ok...so now I get notification from ebay that the auctions will be ending soon, and I go and check them only to find that the starting bid had been raised by 15.00. My guess is that other people watching the auctions will also get a sour taste from this, and also not bid. Now, if it was an amazing bargain, it might be a different story.

I've seen this happen with other auctions for chips as well as other items. Most of the time, as I said, this action just turns me right off, and I remove it from my watch list and never look back.

Just thought I'd put this topic here on the message board for discussion, so people could give their input.
