To answer the question if your older chips can be cashed in or not, the answer is maybe. It mainly depends on a case by case basis at each casino. In order to make a chip obsolete a casino must make a public notice that the chip will no longer be redeamable at the cage after a certain date (Others may be able to expand on the process). However regardless if they can or can not be cashed in they may be worth more than face value to collectors.
However as Ricky has pointed out, you have come to the right place. Instead of trying to cash them in at the casino cage, people here (including myself) would be interested in what chips you have and I am sure you could get more than face value for most or all of your chips.
You should post scans or post a list of what chips you have and the folks here are sure to give you a fair price.....
Just be sure to let me have the first dibs at them .
