I can see how some of these could have occurred, but out of context they may seem really dumb.
It is not uncommon for a witness to be difficult on the stand (uncooperative), so you begin asking basic even stupid sounding questions to force cooperation.
The one this sounds like is were you present when your picture was taken. I've asked very similar questions to that. You have a picture of the person at the scene and they deny having ever been there.
Unfortunately, most of the dumb questions by Lawyers are asked when they are thinking about something else, and looking for fillers (and not necessarily listening to the answers).
I actually taped a conversation with a client who denied what evey witness said, all of the physical evidence, and when he changed his story with me, and I called him on it, he said I was mistaken. I replayed the tape, and he said the voice was not his.
We went to trial as he wanted, we denied everything, and he is now enjoying an expense paid vacation with the State's Department of Corrections. A long vacation. He denies the Jury found him guilty.
