Soapbox mode on:

We might as well legalize them all and get them paying taxes 'cause guess what: they're all here to stay like it or not! They've been able to come here unfettered because that's the way all the powers that be (Prez Bush, corporate America, et al) want it. Were the Federal Government concerned about the situation, several billion $$$ would have been allocated and the border would have been tightened up a long time ago. We can spend endless sums of money on bombing Iraq into the stoneages.

What it boils down to is the illegal aliens are a source of cheap labor that will do the menial labor jobs "we lazy Americans supposedly don't want" to do, at least for minimum wage.

As for the kids going to college; they didn't have any choice when they came here with their parents. If they live in Kansas, let them pay Kansas in-state tuition. They're just like us and trying to better themselves.

I wish the Federal Government would have done something to stem the flow of illegal aliens a long time ago but they didn't so let’s make the best of it.
