A while back I was asking about this chip, the odd denomination and all. It was mentioned that it could have been a joint owed by Ernie Primm and Harold Smith. From a little web surfing I found these guys were pioneers in Nevada and California gambling. The time frame and names make perfect sense. However I must admit I know very little about Nevada chips.....OK I no nothing about them. I have seen a copy of Campiglia and Wells Chip Guide and they show a $20 chip. However they are not certain of it's origin. My question is, Does anyone out in Nevada have any contact with the Primm or Smith families to track down this history or are they simply unapproachable?. You would think since the Smith family was into casinos, there would be someone there that would know the family history of gaming from the start.
