.... "The issue at the crux of the matter (the LM issue) is really quite simple. Should a current member be required to pay while another current member does not?
(The elected BOD and the club's attorney say yes Stu.)
"I understand the LMs are playing by the rules of the game and Archie has been saying all along that I simply don't like the rules and he's right because the current action of the BOD highlights IN MY OPINION how the rules simply aren't fair.
We can agree or disagree (ok mostly disagree) but lets at least understand the argument."
I think that most people who have taken the time to read these exchanges on this message board understand the agument completely Stu.
I am a Life Member of Garden State Numismatic Association; Life Member of New England Numismatic Association; Life Member of Numismatic Association of Southern California; Life Member of Great Eastern Numismatic Association; Life Member of Ocean County Coin Club. I was consdering becoming a Life Member of the American Numismatic Association when the fee was $500. But when the fee was raised to $750 I decided against it ... but I didn't resign my ANA membership that I've held since 1974.
The whole purpose of becoming a Life Member Stu is that the one-time lump sum payment protects one from future dues increases ...
I'm truly sorry that after all these back and forth, sometimes heated exchanges on the message boards between yourself and many others trying to explain it to you ... that you still don't get it... except that you don't like the rule, so you've taken the position that you are willing to quit the club over it.
It's your move Stu ... the clock is ticking.
