My favorite, a simple chip, but with lots of memories:
Cruising out to vegas in the summer of '87 in the olds cutlass supreme with landau top. Got a job working as an intern at a chemical plant in Henderson, spending my evenings on the strip. Uncle worked at the Marina. Learned blackjack at the Marina, and would also frequent the $2 blackjack at the Maxim. Never saw the Desert Inn, never saw the Dunes...but I wore the hell outta the Maxim and the Marina. House sat for the coworkers on summer vacation. Occasionally slept in my car in the parking lot of various casinos. Lots of memories from those two old places. This chip somehow found its way into my pocket after a night of blackjack. I threw it into the luggage on my trip back to Oklahoma at the end of the summer. It stayed in a bucket of loose change for fourteen years until I came across it one day. Got online just to see if I could find any history on the Marina... and found the chipguide.com. And here I am, now with a thousand chips to my collection...all because of a little $1 Marina chip. That chip means more to me than all the others...because it brought me here. Enjoy the club..its a great club...
