I collect encased pennies and other encased coins with a gambling theme. Casinos, Card Rooms, Bingo Games, Race Tracks, etc. I recently acquired three from Washington that are clearly from gambling establishments. None of these three joints are listed in The Gaming Table or in Steve Goodrich’s Washington chip guide.

All three are 1947 cents. While not exact the cent’s date in an encased piece does date the establishment or event somewhat.
