The SETS of Mother Tucker's chips being offered on Ebay are REPRODUCTIONS. See seller's description below ...
"Mother Tucker's was a restaurant / night club located on the White Horse Pike in Atco, New Jersey. On a trip to Lake Tahoe in 1975, the owner of Mother Tucker's saw and felt Harrah's and Harvey's brass core chips. He liked them and had some made up to his specifications for Mother Tucker's. They were made in 4 basic colors with each color signifying a different day of the week; Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They were closed on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. These chips were paid for at the door prior to entering the establishment. The chips were used to purchase food, drinks, gifts and of course - tipping the waitresses.
The waitresses wore a sash with the logo of a pirate woman across their left chest. Where the image of the pirate woman's lips were was cut out and the waitresses' nipple would protrude through the opening. The one side of the chip has 4 brass pips, while on the other side there are 4 sets of womens' breasts. Very interesting..... Sounds like this place may have been a pre-cursor of todays Hooters since Hooters came into existence in Clearwater, Florida in 1983.
Mother Tucker's was opened in 1976 and closed in 1977 just prior to Atlantic City getting legalized gaming. It was thought that gaming would proliferate across the entire state of New Jersey but this did not happen.
The original Mother Tucker's chips were brass core chips. We have reproduced these chips in high quality ceramic just like the chips used in casinos in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Reno. These chips are 10 grams in weight and 39mm diameter. You will receive a set of 4 Mother Tucker's chips in a beautiful black velvet lined display/gift box. You will also receive 4 plastic hermetically sealed capsules to protect your chips and hold them in the display box. The display box measures 5 3/4" x 5 3/4".
