I have played poker with buddies from time to time, but have not ever played in a casino, nor online. I would like to get into it, but wonder if the games played by the folks on this site are low-key enough to learn in, or if (especially now that I've marked myself as a newbie *L*) need to learn elsewhere and then come play with the big boys.

And on the same subject, does anyone know of a good "learning" poker site?

Just looking for a way to suppliment my income ;)
