Someone help me out on this one to save me going to ebay.
I bought these two RAM modules 3 days ago to upgrade an old machine I was donating to my daughters school as its existing 256mb was insufficient.
As you can see I cut open the end of the packets in readiness to install.
When I opened the old PC and removed the two existing 128mb modules I noticed "Max 256mb" marked on the board. I checked on the manufacturers website and discovered that for the old machine not only was it a max 256 but it also had to be in 2 x 128 configuration.
I returned the two modules to the shop who refused point blank to change them as I had cut open the packets.
Proprietory RAM is increasingly harder to buy cheap for older PC100's. These two sticks cost me $70 EACH (3 days ago). If anyone can use them please email me a sensible offer.
It is 256mb x 2 (512mb total). Email me or post here if you have any compatibility questions.
