I guess you and I are looking at this from two totally different perspectives, and by the way there's nothing wrong with that, I respect both points of view. However, a lot of people seem to forget that the members are the club, with elected governoring officers. Therefore, and in this case being a non-profit group, the members must help support the entity to some extent or it ceases to exist. Much like a public corporation with publicly held stock, each stock holder is essentially part owner, with stock proceeds being used to fund growth, acquisitions etc.
One other thing that people tend to forget. I don't see anyone breaking their arm to support this message board. Granted it's offered by Greg as a free service, the costs and time to maintain it aren't free. If Greg were to charge 2¢ per post, some of these guys would be homeless.
That's just my take for what it's worth and I mean no disrespect to anyone.
