I can only tell you that if I decided not to re-new my membership in the club it would not be for any of the reasons you cited.

I visit about four hobby boards on a regular basis. If I had to give up one, I think you know which one it would be and I also think you know why.

Folks don't need the club to enjoy this hobby and when something stops being fun, they tend to simply stop doing it.
