Stu; I wasn't going to reply to your post ... but I can't help myself.

The ANA (American Numismatic Association) has a very nice hgeadquarters building in Colorado Springs which is presently located on a college campus ... after moving their headquarters from New York. I'm sure that when ANA's building dream was initially conceived that there were many nay-sayers at the time who said it would not happen. It may not happen in my life-time, but it is my personal belief that somewhere down the road a CC & GTCC headquarters building is going to become a reality and it certainly won't happen if preliminary plans are not developed and carried out along the way.

Perhaps the term "Building Fund" is mis-leading. It may not be a building... and certainly not a brand new one. Perhaps a leased store front, or part of another organization's shared facility. These possibilities have all been discussed and explored as options and I'm sure they will be re-visited when the appropriate time comes.

One never knows when/if a benefactor may come along (like the city of Las Vegas; UNLV; Wynn; Trump; Stupak; Hughes (Andy), Kruse, Spragg, Trimble, Smorse, etc. ... and/or un-named others for example ... who may be interested in pledging substantial resources towards this long-range goal. Some of the nay-sayers of today may not even be CC & GTCC members in five years. It's a well-established fact that hundreds of club members do not renew their dues each year. I often wonder where many of the voices of yesterday have gone.

Some of the "clique" (that some folks frequently refer to) just might pull off this long-range project.
