Sam, your ideas are interesting, but you can't expect to make money on the stock all the time. Right now, a monkey can make money in the market. But 3 years ago if we had sunk the money into the market, we would probably still be underwater. Timing is everything.

I'm sure Jim has some kind plan in mind, and I don't think it is imperative that it be made public. In a project of this size, there are no definite timelines and I think making them only brings disappointment.

I don't think anyone is fooling themselves into thinking the CCGTCC will ever own and occupy a 7-story building in Las Vegas. What would we do with all that space? A more realistic plan would be to buy a building (most likely on credit with the building as collateral) and lease out the space to other tenants, keeping the first floor (or two) for ourselves. Hopefully the cash flow from rents would pay for the upkeep, taxes, insurance and maintenance on the loan.

Sounds like an easy plan, but it's really horribly complicated and fraught with risk. I think Jim Kruse and the building fund folks are fantastic visionaries for the club and I truly hope they succeed in their goal. It would be great to have some place to call home.
