I noticed a bit of interest in the last couple of days in the $10 Casino de Isthmus City chip. As I was the one to purchase the box of 100 on eBay a year or so ago, Robert contacted me asking to clarify what I paid for them. Since it's been ages since I last posted, I thought I would respond on the board.
I purchased the box for around $705, given the USD=GBP exchange rates at the time. For those curious among you, that works out to $7.05 per chip.
As far as how much these chips are worth, I suppose just what someone is willing to pay for them. I have been able to identify two instances where the $10 chip has come up for auction: One at the July 24, 1993 Cooper Owen 'At the Movies Auction' where Lot 42A, a $10 Isthmus Chip, sold for 110 GBP, before Buyer's Premium and VAT. The second was actually on eBay about 2 months ago, where another $10 chip sold for 50 GBP before Buyer's Premium.
From my own supply, I sold 15 or so to Club Members for $30 each right after the eBay purchase, and have sold a few more to other non-chipper Bond fans for slightly higher. One of these days I might get off my lazy can and put one up on eBay, but I haven't gotten around to it. Of course, David Spragg states on the 'fantasy' page that they are only worth $10-$15 each, although I'm not sure how he arrived at that price. Again, it's what someone is willing to pay, I suppose.
I have never seen any of the other denominations or the roulettes come up for auction, although there are a few places online which have them offered at what I would consider excessive prices. I had arranged with another collector to purchase one each of the $50, $100, and $500 chips used in the movie (can also be seen in the opening credits sequence of Licence to Kill, although not as prominently as the $10) earlier last summer, but then I got married, and my disposable income dropped precipitously .
If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me. It was nice to post on the Board again; I'm afraid that since the marriage (going on 7 months, Wahoo!), the 'Honey Do' list has reduced the amount of time available to frequent the board. Of course, that makes me appreciate the club magazine all the more when it arrives!
Best regards and Happy Chipping!

P.S. One of these days I'll become unlazy and post a pic of my 16th Issue Desert Inn baccarat set. I picked up the $20 the week before getting married, my last major chip purchase . Oh well, the benefits of married life almost compensate .
P.P.S. If anyone is interested in procuring a $10 chip of their own, I have 7 available.
