When a new chipper asks about slabs, one would think that this individual would be shown a link to the official club website where he would find factual information discussing all the various aspects of the issue (from both points of view) along with a clear club position on the matter so that he or she could form an intelligent opinion on the subject of query.

Instead, said chipper is directed to a rather outspoken chip dealer's website.

I know you see nothing wrong with that and maybe it's just the skeptic in me but if I'm seeking information on something, I don't think the source of my information should be from someone who may have a vested interest in forming my opinion one way or the other.

The unintelligible slab "pledge" does not appear anywhere on the official club website and thus it would appear that it is not supported by the . Slabbing does not appear in the Code of Ethics does it? Do the members who have signed "the pledge" constitute a majority of the membership? Does your site even attempt to disclose the fact that what you promote may not be supported by the ?
