Remember that many folks here put chips in some sort of protective sleeve or case (air tite). I've even seen them framed. I am quite certain that folks who have rare chips in mint condition go to great efforts to keep them that way. Some of us do not believe that is what constitutes a slab. It is the attempt to apply a "grade" to the chip that makes it a slab IMO.
