Hello Everyone,
This is off topic, sorry to post here but I dont have any avenue where to post this...please accept my apologies if this is illegal in this board.
Well, I was and still selling Cellphone in ebay. There is this one guy who bought a cellphone from me and paid me via paypal using a credit card. He told me that it is for his friend who has no Paypal so he bought it for him. Problem is he said that I should ship it to Pakistan. At first I said no way, but after awhile I agreed because he has a confirmed address in his paypal. I thought...its ok because he has confirmed address. So I shipped out the cellphone the next day as promised in my all my auctions.
After two days, paypal hold the money saying it is a fraudulent funds that I received. They asked me for info like tracking number, name of the buyer, shipping address and all those...So I gave all the info they want.
After 5 days which is today. I received this from Paypal...
Dear MyName(Edited),
Thank you for contacting PayPal.
In accordance with PayPal's Seller Protection Policy, the following
Transaction Date: Feb. 27, 2006
The transaction(s) did not qualify for Seller Protection because:
You were unable to provide tracking information. For items valued at the equivalent of $250.00 USD or more in value, you must provide a proof of receipt signed, or otherwise acknowledged, by the buyer. A proof of delivery from the shipper which does not contain the buyer's signature or other acknowledgement will not be sufficient. Because comparable proof-of-shipment is not currently available for electronically-delivered items, we are currently unable to offer Seller Protection for digital goods and other electronically-delivered items
The payment was not listed as "Seller Protection Policy Eligible" on the Transaction Details page
If a buyer does not provide a Confirmed Address, you must either refuse the payment and ask the buyer provide a Confirmed Address, or accept the reversal risk in shipping the item outside of the Seller Protection Policy.
Please review the Fraud Prevention Tips For Sellers at https://www.paypal.com/sellertips or copy and paste the entire link into the address bar.
Please note that this withholding is in accordance with our User Agreement.
In the future, you can protect yourself against fraudulent transactions by following the conditions of our Seller Protection Policy. For more information on our Seller Protection Policy in our User Agreement click https://www.paypal.com/sellerprotection or copy and paste entire link into address bar.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Sincerely,
transaction(s) involving unauthorized funds have been reversed:

This is just sick! I provided everything they asked me and now they say it is reversed!?
Do you think I should get all the load even if the owner of the paypal account didnt really take care of this account?
Buyer(Hacker) got the phone
Paypal owner got his money back
I lost phone($545) just doing my job/business?
I know I shouldve shipped anywhere but his confirmed address, but if you think about it...it is a confirmed address and I think its legit in a way. Or is it just a perseption that all Confirmed address are legit?
I honestly can say my paypal is not Confirmed Address only verified but doing this thing is not in my vocabulary as I used paypal for my hobby and to pay for my daily expenses.
I dont know what to do now, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Its like four(4) years of making some small profit in ebay down the drain on 1 transaction! Really frustrating!
I'm a really sorry if this is not allowed here, just want to know how to talk to paypal about this...Only way I can communicate with them is through email as long distance call to USA is so expensive.
Its just unfair.
Thank you for your time reading. Again, sorry if this is not allowed.
Take care of your paypal account, dont want to hear/read this again from anyone here. It's just sad for all the hard work I did and all gone in 1 deal.
