I tried in in Laughlin back in January. The dealer was very friendly, took his time, would stop to remind players that they had a chance to win some money so it would be a good idea to take the oppertunity to double their bets, etc.
While I didn't win, I had a good time, played for a long time on the stake that I had, and the pace was good enough that you could chat with your neighbor, etc. You did not have to worry about how other people played their hands as it had no effect on yours.
The only advice as to actually playing the game that I can offer from my single playing experience is only double down when you KNOW that you have a winning hand as opposed to those times that you MIGHT win.
But of course, I do not know if this is the best way to play or not.
