Steve, your Dad was a lot of fun... grin

I would occasionally ask him about PR as I once landed at Ramey AFB and got wasted grin in a little town near the base they called "Agua Dirty" for some reason. vbg

My Dad passed peacefully Sep 20, 2001 at the VA Hospital in Menlo Park, CA and my brother was right there, he didn't know it as he was reading to Dad at the time. An orderly came in, looked, and told my brother Dad was off to better times.

Dad was a passionate, life-long Dodger fan and when we moved him to Menlo Park he continued to listen to baseball games. I'll never forget his asking me why he couldn't hear Vin Scully and Jerry Dogget. All he could get was the crummy Giant games. He'd ask if that (expletive deleted) Marishal was still with 'em. Great guy and I'll miss him till I pass. sad

Ironic thing...he married my Mother while he was stationed with Capt. Archie Olds at March Field in the early 1930's flying P-10's. Mom and Dad were married for sixty-one years and now they both reside on a hill overlooking March AFB at the National Cemetary.
