I have been following the weekly ebay/aol/paypal scam/phishing/fraud postings when they come up on this board.....well, today I FINALLY got my first fraudulent email reference my Paypal account!
They tried to tell me someone was making false charges on my credit card and to verify my info......Ha, Ha on them - you all taught me better....THANK YOU ALL!
I remained calm and did not open the link. I checked my Ebay, Paypal and CC accounts (hummm, no messages from anyone)and all appears fine.
I love it when I learn something new everyday!
Special thanks to Mike Pasternack who showed us how to check the details of the header message to see WHO really sent the email....it worked!
Now, if I could just "reach out and touch someone"....auggghhh!
