As a seller, I leave feedback as soon as I receive payment. From that point on its my responsibility to ensure the buyer gets what he paif for and is happy. I dont even bother checking whether feedback gets left for me later.

As a buyer I leave feedback when I receive the item (or when its received on my behalf if shipped elsewhere). I guess about 50% of sellers leave feedback when I pay but the other 50% wait until I have left it. I couldnt care less and I dont go back through checking who left it and who didnt.

I use ebay a lot and IMO there are far more 'idiot sellers' than 'idiot buyers'. If you do it right you should not expect any problems.
