John, yes...no doubt. Dell had many cheaper ones too, but this one is higher end with the bells and whistles. This one, is one of the XPS units, with lots of upgrades and extra high capacity battery and a 4 year in home warranty. Even HP prices go way up real fast once you start adding on all of the upgrades. Being a "techie", I just can't help myself...I gotsta have the bells and whisltes!
