However, it's massive relative to a plasma or LCD flat screen. One good thing about it is, unlike plasma and LCD, I don't worry about burn-in. Also, the contrast is much better than most LCD's. (Or at least those of a year ago.)
I've always heard that plasma loses significant brightness after the first year or two, but I don't know anyone who has one that will confirm that. I see a couple of folks responded that have plasma's, maybe they can comment.
