Talk to Lou about the Monte Carlo being more of a bar room...we bought a DI Monte Carlo plate from him. He said it was a gourmet dining room. Also, we have a wine list from there, 147 different wines available by the bottle or the 1/2 bottle.

As for the matchbook.... we bought a copy of a 1945 Las Vegas Business Directory from Doug Deems (a few years ago). There's an ad for the Monte Carlo Casino at 15 Fremont. The logo is very similar to the one on Don's matches, but the shape of the shield is different. I'm betting that's where the matches are from.
