...I noticed that as well. My version of the South Tahoe Nevada Club PC is a bit different, but I believe it is from the same year. Seems odd that they would have changed the sign between then and when they closed (late '57 or early '58 depending on who you read). I'll have to pester Doug further on his source. He does state that: "...it was the original sign that had been erected above the entrance to the Nevada Club on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe, a sign that Lincoln Fitzgerald had purchased and had hauled up to the North Shore in tim for his Nevada Lodge opening of 1958." (July 4) That was printed in his "The Way It Was At The Nevada Lodge" section in the Hank Boss Collection auction catalog.
