David, I have seen those also. Matsui basically makes two plaque styles. The one you have pictured is what they call their "Cyber Plaques". They also make the CC-410 Acrylic Plaques which were shown in my post.
The Cyber plaques are definitely interesting, but regarding Justin's comments - quite frankly I would I have to agree. The durability of the cyber plaque would seem to make them hard to sell within a casino environment.
The new 3-layer CC-410 acrylic plaques are a massive improvement over their original acrylic plaques and if they had better multi-color design capabilities they would offer competition to GPI for certain. My rep has told me the multi-color plaque designs are in the works.
Regarding pricing, I can only say that there is probably little interest from Matsui if you are only going to be buying 50 pieces - unless of course you trick them into thinking this is a sample/eval order on your part and the big order is coming soon. Regarding customization of plagues art charges begin at $300+ per denom. Factor that in along with having product shipped from Korea (though they are HQ'd in Japan, their plaques are mfg in Korea). You can expect to pay quite a chunk of change per plaque even for several hundred pieces.
