I like this post and meant to post a reply immediately, but got distracted (with work) and did not get back to this until now.

I actually think that chip you posted is not that bad. I would not rate it in the top 50 percentile, but probably not in the bottom 10 percentile either. I guess ugly is in the eye of the beholder.
