I had a similiar occurance with Comcast. I bought my broadband internet modem from Best Buy for $25 less than Comcast wanted. After the wife pays the cable bill for over a year I read over one and discover that they are charging us for modem rental every month. Fortunatley I didn't have to battle with them to get a refund.
