I was a avid Wilt fan and remember very well the night of March 2,1962 when Wilt scored 100 points against the Knicks in a game played in Hershey, PA. I listened to the game up in my bedroom on a transister radio. I was 15 years old at the time. Sadly there is no movie footage or video of the game.
Wilt had a fall away jump shot, a hook shot a finger roll and of course the Dunks. The night he scored 100 points he was an unbelievable 28 of 32 from the foul line. If he shot his normal 55% from the foul line he would have ONLY scored 89 points.
Also remember that Wilt AVERAGED over 50 points per game in the 1962 season scoring over 4,000 points - what is Kobe's average!!! I still believe Wilt was the greatest player that ever played.
Take care,
Jerry
