Paypal are acting as a credit card processor.
Can you find another card processor with cheaper rates? They are very competitive.
Can you find another 'payment portal' which has any form of account where neither sender or receiver pays a fee?

Of course I appreciate that as a 'merchant' I probably pay only half the rate they would want to charge you, and they dont charge me an extra % to receive funds in other currencies.
