I attended the auction of the Boardwalk Casino in Las Vegas today.
Not much left after the other MGM properties grabbed what they wanted. No slot machines available as they all went to other properties. They did auction all the game tables.
Almost nothing left that had a Boardwalk name on it. Managed to find a few envelopes and one piece of letterhead. Most of the auction consisted of kitchen equipment, old office chairs and file cabinets, hotel room furniture and slot machine base cabinets.
Another of the small intimate older casinos bites the dust only to be swalloed by the mega giants that don't know the defintion of customer service.
About 100 people were in attendance at the start of the auction. I did not stay to see what items sold for. I'm sure there will be story in the paper tomorrow.
