If that's the case, David ... then the chip (or whatever else is housed in these obviously loose slabs) are going to show rubbing wear as a result of friction occuring inside the slab which will diminsh the assigned grade significantly.
I can't believe that chip collectors fall for these slabbing gimmicks. All these companies want is the collector's dollars for their grading fees. It does not take an awful lot of experience to tell a circulated chip from one that is like new... and to pay for that opinion is plain stupid in my opinion.
