The codes may be tied to dates if USPC

Michael Petty had a system for dating playing cards made by the US Playing Card Company based upon those numbers. It depends upon whether the code is in blue or black. Older decks have a blue code, newer have black. If yours and Archie's decks have the same color code, yours is older. Unfortunately, I don't have access to my chart at the moment. If I remember, I will try to post his dates, if he has any.

I really enjoyed Michael's playing card newsletter while it lasted. Unfortunately, soon after the newsletters began, he found that he really didn't have the time to continue his terrific newsletters. Thank you Mike! grin
