Re: REAL OLD Reno Nevada Club Playing Cards

Hiya Joni, here are the two deck colors I have, got them on eBay for a pretty reasonable price. (Cheap! grin) According to one of our members who worked at the joint, these were the cards that were on the tables when the place closed. Got to admit that they do have an old-timey look to them compared to other playing cards we're used to seeing.

Something that I've always found interesting is that the lettering style of the "C" on the ace of spades matches exactly the "CC" chips Lincoln Fitzgerald brought out with him from Detroit. As you may know, Fitzgerald ran the Chesterfield Club for the Purple Gang in Detroit and sought a "healthier" climate out west in Reno where he started the Nevada Club.
