Besides simply locking you out of your own account and using it to buy and sell... There can be a lot of personal information in your profile and there are probably a lot of folks that use the exact same information (id and password) for their PayPal account (I don't).

I quickly changed the password to a complex HEX number and ebay confirmed that the change came from my IP, so it should be ok.
