Jim; I know of no slabbing company that would insert an item sideways or crooked into a slab ... unless perhaps, the chip MIGHT BE loose in the slab and has rotated after the slab was sealed..., which presents another problem for slabbing in general inasmuch as the chip will show wear from the friction received by being allowed to rotate in the plastic slab, thereby reducing the "perfect grade 10" in my opinion.
