I don't like the direction the town & county has taken in recent years, the spineless regulators should have stopped the mergers and acquisitions a long time ago.

This is one of the draws of downtown (to me). Its going in that direction as well with Binions (MTR), Fremont (Boyd), Main Street (stations), etc. But at least there is no monopoly/oligopoly to downtown. We dont see large parcels owned by a single company as you do with the southern end of the strip where multiple hotels in a row are owned (through acquisition) but a single corporation.
