I received this email from David Spragg

Im not sure anyone would place any value on the website and domain name.
No collector is going to purchase so much duplication of chips (or would only do so at a fraction of face)
Dealers would not want the website or domain.
I actually printed your list and valued it a week or so ago. I reckon over 90% of the chips are still available at the casinos if you ask nicely enough.
It looks like the value I got to is embarrasingly low.
In my opinion you should either
1. Divulge the reserve on the chipboard (quite usual to do so)
2. Alter or remove the reserve
3. Cancel the auction and keep the chips
Otherwise, all the people on the board are not going to want to do business with you in future.
Just my honest opinion
David

1. To begin with, let me start by kicking myself for posting the auction link/notice in the first place. Shame on me had I known.
2. In reference to the reserve. I was asked by David Spragg what the reserve was, a question I really feel is personal, and don't make a habit of putting people on the spot by asking. If that makes any sense at all.
My original intention was to not have a reserve, but after thinking it over, I decided it was a good idea to protect my personal investment. Whether the reserve is high to some, and not others, is really a matter of personal choice. When I see something I can't live without, I usually write a check and buy it. Furthermore, what is easily obtainable to some, is not always so for others. I personally am willing to pay that price for convenience. But then there are others who claim that collections like the one I am offering are relatively easy to obtain. I have no problem with that. Because if those individuals have an interest in that type of collection, then I assume they'll do just that, collect them from their "easily" obtainable sources.
When David asked me what the reserve was set at, I responded politely responded with this.
David,
The reserve is high, I accidentally placed a decimal in the wrong place. Chances are no one will break it anytime soon. Rather than go into eBay and change it, I decided to just leave it alone. Plus I wasn't exactly sure as to what would be a fair price for this collection. Do you have any ideas as to it's value? I respect the opinions & advice from long time collectors like yourself.
The above response was my nice way of saying. Please, don't put me on the spot by asking me for the reserve price.
I don't ask James Campiglia what his reserves are, nor do I care. If I see a chip that interests me, I bid what I am willing to pay, no more.
I didn't email anyone in regard to the Platinum Collection asking them what the reserve price was, nor did I care. Had I had an interest in it, I would have bid the amount I was willing to pay. Simple as that. Nor did I email Marina Capital LLC with my opinion on how much they bid. That was their business.
No one knows what's in my "personal" collection, nor do I publicly display that collection to anyone. It's not for sale and never will be. However, it is entirely possible that I have many chips that duplicate the content of the Platinum Collection. Nevertheless, it's a collection that will never be sold, so frankly I feel there is no need to divulge it's content. But on the other hand, given my recent trading interest in coin-center chips, I have made it a point to publicly divulge an accurate amount of chips contained in both my Bar-Top display, along with the coincenterchips.com inventory. This is a courtesy to all of you, but means nothing in regard to what someone is willing to pay for a collection that interests them. Also, I have been made aware of several dealer's comments in regard to this. It appears that some would like for me to not divulge that information so they can continue to sell chips at a premium. That too is fine, it's their business and I am not here to tell them how to run it.
I'm not changing the reserve and I am asking no one to bid on that auction that is truly not interested.
That being said, I'll resume kicking myself
Sam
