I was just sent a PDF file of your new rates. It wont print or copy so I will just type:

It contains Teds 'paragraph' as above. That para is numbered '.12'

At the top of the file it shows 1st class prices. Just beneath it says
'Non machineable surcharge may be payable - .12'
which is supposed to direct you to para 12 but at first read I took it as 12c.

Funny thing is, right at the top, the main heading to the document is

"EFFECTIVE JUNE 30, 2002"

Anyway, after never having any such surcharges here (except for 'oversize') items, our post office decided that during this year they will add a similar non-machineable surcharge.
